Home-Based Therapist Contract

We offer therapeutic services for families involved with the Department of Child Services (DCS) throughout Central Indiana.

The home-based therapists provide individual and family therapy as well as supervised therapeutic visits between the child and caregiver. They also attend court hearings and team meetings.

On the other hand, the community-based therapist will work directly with a team addressing mental health needs to reunite families. They also empower adults and children to reach their full potential.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to the DCS Service Standards and the Code of Ethics for your licensure and our company
  • Attend court and team meetings
  • Build professional relationships with referral sources
  • Conduct and complete a clinical intake within the required timeframe
  • Provide accurate and timely progress notes, reports, and documentation
  • Provide individual and family therapy to children and adults

Qualifications

  • Ability to maintain professional relationships with a variety of individuals and personalities
  • Comfortable using evidence-based practices
  • Master's degree in Social work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage, and Family Therapy
  • Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record to provide transportation
  • Must have LSW, LCSW, LMHCA, LMHC, LMFTA, LMFTA

Home-Based Caseworker Contract

Home-based caseworkers provide various home-based services for families involved with DCS/Choices, probation, and adoptive families at risk or in crisis.

They provide a variety of goal-directed services to help assist the family in reunification or adoption.

Caseworkers must know community resources, such as housing and assistance programs. They must also have the desire and ability to work as a team member and firmly believe in helping clients change their circumstances.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to the DCS Service Standards and our company’s code of ethics
  • Attend court hearings and team meetings
  • Conduct and complete an intake within the required timeframe
  • Conduct parent education/training
  • Coordinate services
  • Develop long and short-term goals
  • Facilitate transportation
  • Handle supervised visitations
  • Manage behavior modification programs
  • Monitor the progress of the parent
  • Provide accurate and timely progress notes, reports, and documentation
  • Train skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a related human service field from an accredited college
  • Other bachelor's degrees will be accepted with at least five years of experience working directly with families in the child welfare system
  • Must comply with the state policy concerning minimum care insurance coverage
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to use a private car to transport self and others

Supervised Visitation Facilitator

Stepping Stones Therapy Center provides supervised visitation services to families involved with the Department of Child Services.

Position Summary

The Visitation Facilitator is responsible for supervising court-ordered parenting time. The Visitation Facilitator will protect the integrity of the parenting time by providing a positive atmosphere where parents and children may connect and interact in a safe, structured environment.

Responsibilities

  • Abide by the court order regarding the amount of parenting time, level of supervision, approved visitors, and no contact orders.
  • Monitor interactions between those participating in the visit
  • Provide transportation to clients as needed for visitation
  • Assist the family by strengthening, teaching, demonstrating, and role-modeling appropriate skills
  • Accurately document each visit using the approved template.

Qualifications

  • Valid Indiana Drivers license
  • Bachelor/Associate Degree
  • GED with a minimum of 3 years experience working with child welfare
  • Must be knowledgeable of children of all ages and empathetic for children with trauma
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends
  • must comply with the state policy concerning minimum car insurance coverage

Qualification for Therapeutic Visitation

  • LCSW, LMHC, and LMFT are preferred but not required. Applicant must be licensed and eligible.

Masters Level Therapist

Our office seeks an experienced Program Manager to oversee our Clinician Led Community Response (CLCR) team.  

Responsibilities

The therapist must be able to work as part of a team and collaborate with clients, referral sources, and other community providers—the ability to relate to a diverse population.  Provides clinical intervention including but not limited to mental health, substance use, and Indianapolis residents experiencing mental health crises. This full-time contracted position works 10-hour shifts 3 - days a week.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide crisis intervention to community residents dealing with crises
  • Conduct on-site assessments of clients to determine the need for additional services
  • Assess and stabilize high-risk individuals and/or families
  • Participate in a rotation scheduled with all other CLCR teams
  • Provide crisis stabilization treatment using brief interventions and solutions-focused therapy
  • Crisis stabilization may include but is not limited to case management services that coordinate, support, and advocate for clients, psycho-education, and brief education
  • Provide intensive outreach reach services
  • Refer clients to appropriate resources and treatment
  • Maintain records in accordance with agency policy and complete required outcomes protocols
  • Participate in agency meetings and in-services
  • Formulates a treatment plan with the client, using knowledge of alcohol and drug abuse risk factors and counseling and treatment techniques.
  • Refers client to other support services as needed, such as medical evaluation and treatment, social services, and employment services.
  • Prepares and maintains reports
  • Attends clinical staffing.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Counseling or Social Work, Addictions, or related field.
  • Licensed eligible in Indiana
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and written with Peer Support Specialists
  • Must maintain a safe driving record and a valid Indiana Driver’s License.

Peer Support Specialist

Our office seeks a Peer Support Specialist to oversee our Clinician Led Community Response (CLCR) team. 

The Peer Support Specialist must be able to work as part of a team and collaborate with clients, referral sources, and other community providers—the ability to relate to a diverse population.  Previous experience working with individuals who experience emotional disturbance, including but not limited to mental health, substance use, and Indianapolis residents experiencing mental health crises. This full-time contracted position works 10-hour shifts 3 - days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Responding to a mental health crisis with the CLCR therapist.
  • Offer one-on-one support during a mental health crisis.
  • Participate in a rotation schedule with all other CLCR teams members
  • Working knowledge of community resources and programs.
  • Provide empathy and a supportive demeanor to identify needs.
  • Helping to assist in post-crisis intervention plans
  • Refer clients to appropriate resources and treatment
  • Follow up with those in crisis to assess the efficacy of the intervention.
  • Provide intensive outreach services
  • Attends clinical staffing with a supervisor.
  • Complete and maintain records in accordance with agency policy.
  • Participate in agency meetings and training.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid Indiana Professional License/Certificate
  • At least two years experience as a peer support specialist.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly compassionate and attentive to detail.
  • Knowledge of community resources and programs
  • Ability to work as a team

Program Manager

 Our office seeks an experienced Program Manager to oversee our Clinician Led Community Response (CLCR) team.  

Position Summary

The Program Manager will supervise the CLCR team of therapists, care coordinators, and peer support specialists. Ensuring the CLCR meets business objectives, minimizes risk, oversees contractors' performance, provides guidance and support, identifies development needs, and provides clinical supervision and support to the CLCR team. The candidate must have a valid clinical license in Indiana.

 

Responsibilities

  • Supports evaluation of program services to enhance patient outcomes and acts as a positive change agent to implement clinical initiatives to increase quality patient care.
  • Oversees needs of the      Clinician Lead Community Response Team (CLCR).
  • Provides clinical supervision for team members to maintain clinical best practices for the residents of the city of Indianapolis.
  • Stays apprise of resources in the city to address mental health, substance abuse, and domestic violence and effectively relays that information to the CLCRT team.
  • Helps to provide the team with      therapeutic interventions appropriate for crisis and community outreach
  • Follows up to determine the reliability and validity of treatment; makes recommendations regarding service modification and delivery.
  • Prepares and maintains      reports
  • Ensure the CLCR team is running at peak efficiency.
  • Maintains current knowledge base on counseling issues regarding substance abuse and other psychosocial disorders interventions to help deliver to the team.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Addictions, or a related field.
  • Valid Indiana Professional      License
  • 3-5 years of Program Manager experience. References are available upon request.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and written across disciplines.
  • Ability to be flexible with on-call scheduling.
  • Must pass criminal background checks.

 

Education Requirements

Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Addictions, or a related field

Professional Licensed is required

 

Salary Range

$75,000 -$87,000
